Kristie is an Associate at Kagan Shastri LLP. practicing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, land use planning and municipal law. She first joined the firm as a summer student in 2015 and articled with the firm in 2017-2018. Kristie was called to the Ontario Bar in June of 2018.

Kristie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph. She earned her J.D. from the Faculty of Law at Western University. During her time in law school, Kristie worked as a Mediator in the Dispute Resolution Clinic and as an Associate Caseworker at the Community Legal Services Clinic. She also led a team of law students tasked by the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board with writing headnotes for their reported decisions. While in her final year of law school, Kristie completed a semester at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht (EBS Law School) in Wiesbaden, Germany. During her time at EBS, Kristie won an award for her presentation in Transnational Securities Law.

Kristie has appeared before various courts and tribunals, including: the Ontario Superior Court of Justice; the Ontario Small Claims Court; the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and the Landlord and Tenant Board.
